What is art history, and how does it frame—or exclude—technology? This undergraduate micro-course traces a media-archaeological path from optics through cinema to video games, revealing how virtual reality emerges as a medium that reframes the history of vision. Aimed at undergraduate students, it examines how game mechanics are transforming static media into dynamic—and sometimes hollow—transcultural cocktails.
